Together, We Can Protect Affordable Coverage

Thank you for your leadership on health care issues in Congress. I am writing to you today as your constituent from [town, state], with an urgent request: please cosponsor H.R. 5145, the Bipartisan Tax Credit Extension Act.

This bill, introduced by Congresswoman Jennifer Kiggans (R-VA), would extend the enhanced premium subsidies for ACA Marketplace health insurance plans through December 31, 2026. If these subsidies are not extended, patients could face premium increases of $700 or more next year, putting health coverage out of reach for many families living with chronic and rare diseases.

Over 22 million Americans rely on ACA Marketplace coverage, and more than 90% receive premium subsidies that make this coverage affordable. Extending these subsidies for one more year will give families time to plan and prevent sudden, unaffordable cost increases.
