Keep APS Funded in FY 2026!
NAPSA needs your help to get federal fiscal year 2026 APS funding across the finish line!
On Tuesday January 20, 2026, the House Committee on Appropriations released federal fiscal year 2026 funding language for the Administration for Community Living (ACL) as part of the bicameral, bipartisan negotiation process for the Department of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill. Since October 1, ACL has been supported under the continuing resolution expiring on January 30th.
This funding bill rejects previous elimination of APS state formula grants and instead includes explicit instructional language continuing the nationwide Adult Protective Services (APS) formula grant to states at $15 million and preserving the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG). The bill continues the allowable 5% set aside for grants to tribes to build elder justice and APS programs.
We need you to tell Congress to finalize this funding and send it to the President's desk for signature. Contact your Representative and Senators thanking them for their support and urge them to move this funding forward!
