Keep APS Funded in FY 2026!
Congress has voted since 2020 to provide Adult Protective Services and other Elder Justice Act programs with important funding. We need to show how important this funding is for programs. For FY2025 funding was kept at $15 million, the same as funding in FY23 and FY24. This is significantly less than the more than $188 million for Elder Justice Act programs in FY22 through the American Rescue Act Plan. We are calling on Congress to pass at least $100 million in formula funding for APS programs and protect the critical funding in the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG). We view this as the bare minimum needed but Congress needs to hear from you on why this funding is crucial.
Contact your Representative and Senators to urge funding to APS and inform them of the impact federal funding has on the people you support, the program, and you. Personalize the message with your stories and data.
