CAIR-NJ strongly condemns Israel’s interception of the peaceful Global Sumud Flotilla, whose sole mission was to deliver vital humanitarian aid to Gaza. We urge New Jersey’s Congressional Representatives to take immediate action to protect their constituents aboard the flotilla, including Amrou Ibrahim.
New Jersey resident, Amrou Ibrahim, was among those arrested by Israel trying to deliver desperately needed food, medicine, and aid supplies to Gaza. The nearly 500 people aboard more than 50 boats were stopped off the coast of Cyprus. We have not heard from Amrou since before his arrest. Urgent action is needed to ensure his safe return and that others are not abused. This comes just as Israel recently extended detention for some humanitarian activists who were previously arrested on another flotilla.
Send a message to your representatives today: demand that they protect everyone on board from abuse in Israeli prisons and publicly condemn Israel’s unlawful interception of the flotilla as they continue to strangle Gaza.

Demand NJ Officials Protect Their Constituent, Amrou Ibrahim, Arrested Aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action on behalf of New Jersey resident and U.S. citizen Amrou Ibrahim, who has reportedly been detained by Israeli authorities while aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla.

Amrou was part of a peaceful humanitarian mission delivering urgently needed aid to civilians in Gaza. His detention, along with hundreds of other humanitarian workers and activists, is deeply concerning and demands immediate attention.

I urge you to publicly call for Amrou’s release and press the U.S. State Department to ensure his safety and the swift release of all detained U.S. citizens. Secondly, I ask you to substantively speak out against Israel's repeated human rights abuses.

New Jersey residents deserve protection when their rights and safety are at risk abroad.

Sincerely,

Amrou Ibrahim - NJ Resident Arrested On Flotilla to Gaza

CAIR NJ

I am writing to express deep concern for the hundreds of humanitarian activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla, including New Jersey resident and U.S. Citizen, Amrou Ibrahim, who have been detained and taken to Israeli prisons.

These individuals were part of a peaceful humanitarian mission to deliver urgently needed aid to families in Gaza. Nearly 500 doctors, humanitarians and activists aboard more than 50 boats were again illegally blocked from delivering desperately needed aid. Israeli forces intercepted the ships off the coast of Cyprus and arrested numerous people. Their detention raises serious concerns about their safety and well-being. This comes just as Israeli recently extended the detention for humanitarian activists arrested previously as part of another flotilla.

I urge you to:
- Call for the immediate release of all those detained from the Global Sumud Flotilla, including Amrou Ibrahim.
- Press the State Department to ensure that all U.S. citizens detained by Israeli authorities are treated with dignity and released without delay.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We hope you will stand up for the rights and safety of Americans engaged in humanitarian efforts abroad and hold Israel accountable for its repeated unlawful actions.

Sincerely,

Protect NJ Constituent Amrou Ibrahim Arrested by Israel Aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action regarding the detention of hundreds of humanitarian activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla, including New Jersey resident and U.S. citizen Amrou Ibrahim, who has reportedly been detained by Israeli authorities.

Amrou Ibrahim was among nearly 500 doctors, humanitarian workers, and activists participating in a peaceful mission to deliver urgently needed aid to civilians in Gaza, where families continue to face catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The flotilla, made up of more than 50 boats, was reportedly intercepted by Israeli forces off the coast of Cyprus, preventing the delivery of critical aid and resulting in the detention of numerous participants.

As a constituent of New Jersey, Amrou deserves the full protection and advocacy of his elected officials. His detention—alongside others engaged in a nonviolent humanitarian effort—is deeply alarming, particularly in light of Israel’s continued detention of activists from previous aid flotillas.

I urge you to:

Publicly call for the immediate release of Amrou Ibrahim and all detained humanitarian activists.
Demand that the U.S. State Department take immediate steps to ensure the safety and release of detained U.S. citizens.
Speak out against the obstruction of humanitarian aid intended for civilians facing starvation and devastation in Gaza.

New Jersey residents should not be abandoned when their rights and safety are at risk abroad—especially when they are engaged in humanitarian work. I urge you to act swiftly and publicly on this matter.

Sincerely,
