<p>The New York State budget has passed! Nonpublic school funding saw a record-breaking increase of <strong>$XX million which brings total nonpublic school funding to $XX million</strong>. This is a historic win for our communities. Never has this much funding been allocated to nonpublic schools. It signifies a new phase of education reform in our state. Even in a tough budget year, it shows that when our community advocates for the needs of our children, our legislators hear our call.&nbsp;</p>


Thank Your Elected Officials for Record Breaking Funding in This Year's Budget!

Thank you for supporting nonpublic schools in this year’s NYS Budget. As a constituent in your district, I applaud your leadership and commitment to all students in New York State. 

I am extremely grateful for the state’s increase of the Nonpublic School Safety Equipment Grant Program (NPSE) from $45 million to $70 million. This will dramatically help mitigate the burden on nonpublic schools who are especially vulnerable as hate crimes have surged across our state.   

I also thank you for including $5 million for a new art and music program. Studies have shown that the arts foster creativity, joy, and confidence in children and importantly, gives them a foundation for future success. We are grateful for this critical support for our students. 

Your continued support of the STEM teacher reimbursement program is helping ensure that all New York students gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.  

I know there are many competing funding needs that must be addressed every year by the legislature. Thank you for prioritizing the education of all New York children.

Thank you for your leadership in ensuring that all children, no matter what type of school they attend, are safe and secure, and have the opportunity to receive a well-rounded education in STEM, art and music, and more.  

As a concerned New Yorker, I am grateful for the increase of the Nonpublic School Safety Equipment program (NPSE) from $45 million to $70 million. Since October 7th, the NYPD has recorded a 330% increase in hate crimes in New York. The financial burden on our institutions and families to keep our children safe is substantial and unsustainable. This funding will certainly alleviate that burden.  

As our children across the state contend with growing fear and anxiety due to hate, we must incorporate wellness and mental health into their daily curriculum. Thank you for including $5 million for a new art and music program. Studies have shown that the arts foster creativity, joy, and confidence in children and importantly, gives them a foundation for future success. We are grateful for this critical support for our students. 

Along with other necessary funding increases, this budget promotes a secure learning environment and quality education for our children. Thank you for prioritizing the education of all New York children.
