Water companies are pushing back!
Opponent testimony hit hard this week, keep up the pressure
Get the committee to Vote on HB 93
We have had great representation, but the opponents of HB93 testified and hit hard. Representatives from Cincinnati, Akron, Canton, Athens and others testified.
Their biggest points were:
-Difficulty in tracking down residents that have moved.
-Passing on the cost of delinquencies or collections across ALL water users.
-They see outstanding bills as a risk of doing business for housing providers.
-Suggest that housing providers screen their tenants better, enforce their leases better, and collect bigger deposits.
They also claim that the water companies are working with housing providers to find solutions. We have not had that happen so far.
We are at CRUNCH time and need to keep up the pressure to the committee to make sure they aren't swayed by these empty arguments.
Please send this NEW message to the committee members ASAP before they vote next week!
