As you know, the Fair Access Committee has been working in support of two key budget items that are currently before the County Council. They have just been voted out of two committees and will be considered by the full Council in a few weeks. One is a program to provide $230,000 to our local charitable services WUMCO to provide medical and dental services to needy Western County residents. The second is funding for a construction project to build a new Community Center and clinic for the Western County located in Poolesville to serve our youth, seniors, and families.&nbsp;
In the past, emails from our community have helped persuade the County Council to support projects like our new high school. Please take a minute to click to send your note to our Council and urge their support of these two important programs. It makes a big difference. Thank you.&nbsp;

I am a supporter of the Fair Access Committee for the Western County. I have been informed that one of the County Council Committees voted to send to the full Council a program to provide a $230,000 grant to WUMCO to support medical services for those in need in our area.  Another Council Committee recently voted to approve the proposed Western County Community Center and Clinic and send that to the Council as well.


Both of these worthwhile programs will help improve the lives of our families, youth and seniors as well as those who are needy or live in isolated areas of the Western County and can’t easily get to needed medical and dental services.
