Keep Tourist Spending in the 5 Boros!
Act Now, NYC! Or OUR SALES will go to NEW JERSEY this summer!

Pause Local Law 18 for Summer '26!
🔺 TL:DR 🔺 New York City MUST allow home-sharing (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.) in June/July ONLY during the 2026 world soccer tournament.
The Problem: Between mid-June and late July, NYC will host an unprecedented convergence of events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Sail4th 250, and Fleet Week. But there's a huge problem: we do not have enough hotel beds to meet demand. And home-sharing apps like Airbnb and Vrbo are "technically" allowed, but almost nobody uses them because city laws say the owner has to stay in the apartment with you.
The Risk: Without a temporary exception to current short-term rental regulations, hotel prices will surge out of reach for working families. Even worse, tourist spending will leak to New Jersey and the suburbs, leaving our neighborhoods with the nuisance of crowds but none of the overnight economic impact.
The Solution: We need a "Summer of Opportunity" exception! By enacting a temporary, time-limited pause on Local Law 18 for owner-occupied homes, we can safely host millions of visitors and keep over $4.85 billion in projected economic impact right here in the five boroughs of NYC.
Take Action NOW! The World Cup final is only months away, and the window to act is closing.
Tell Mayor Mamdani and the City Council to act before it's too late. Send a message today urging them to pause the short-term rental law for the Summer of 2026!
