Support Dr Steve Ryland, PT, DPT for Health Advisory Committee

📢 We are taking action!

The United Physical Therapy Association has officially nominated Dr. Steven Ryland, PT, DPT, BS (Economics) to serve on the newly formed Healthcare Advisory Committee (HAC) at HHS/CMS. This committee will directly advise federal leaders on Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace policies that impact patients, providers, and independent practices nationwide.

Dr. Ryland isn’t just another name on paper—he has nearly 30 years of real-world experience across outpatient, inpatient, surgical, and sports medicine settings. He has led a rehab hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic, managed surgical centers, built specialty programs for seniors, founded an independent practice association, started multiple private practices, served as medical director at the national sports level and still treats patients daily in his current outpatient practice in Florida. He understands first hand the payment issues, the administrative burdens, and the difficulty practicing clinicians face daily. With his unique background in both economics and healthcare leadership, he understands how policy decisions affect both patient access and practice sustainability.

👉 Here’s where you come in: We need your help amplifying his nomination. We’ve created messages that you can send directly to CMS through this site. We have created messages in support of Dr Ryland that will autopopulate for you. We need the voices of PTs, ones who want change, to be heard. Every email of support helps make sure that frontline clinician voices are included on this critical federal committee.

Together, we can make sure decision-makers hear from those of us who live the challenges of healthcare every single day. Please share this link with your colleagues. We have one week to make a difference.
