I live, work, and vote in your district. I am grateful for your willingness to step up and serve the people of Wisconsin. Thank you.

However, I want to know what you are doing about all the dark and foreign money spending that pays for attack ads, misinformation and often hate speech. My friends, my neighbors, my FAMILY should not have to watch this every time they turn on the TV, the radio, the computer, even just opening the mailbox! 

I don’t recognize the names of who is spending all this money and I’ll bet you don’t either. In the interest of returning Wisconsin to a more civil and kind society, I am asking that you restore your own ability to pass laws protecting us from this bombardment.

My understanding is that there is currently a resolution before you that would restore your ability as an elected state legislator to rein in the dark money buying these distasteful attack ads. If so, please support this and in turn, support the voters who want open, free and fair elections without all the attacks.

As one of your constituents, I want to express my gratitude for your work in the state legislature. I am contacting you today because I am deeply concerned about political spending by foreign entities and out-of-state special interests. This spending is silencing the voices of Wisconsin voters. I urge you to support legislation that will protect state sovereignty and defend our elections from outside influence. 

This is an issue that I care deeply about. Unlimited and unchecked political spending from outside the district, outside the state, and even outside the country is destabilizing our political process, eroding the public’s trust, and stifling our free speech.

The people of Wisconsin overwhelmingly support taking action against the corrosive effects of outside money and foreign interference in politics. I hope you will make this a top priority so we can strengthen our state’s ability to safeguard against threats from both domestic and foreign sources. Thank you for working to protect our elections.

Protect Wisconsin elections from foreign interference!

Let me first thank you for stepping into public service and being the champion that you are for “we, the people”. 

My family and I are your constituents and we are active voters. We have read and understood the Constitution and are glad to see you are willing to defend it on our behalf. As stated in Article I, Section 4, or the Elections Clause, state legislatures determine the time, place, and manner of holding elections. My understanding of this is that we elect YOU to secure our state elections and prevent corruption, not judges, justices, or unelected Washington bureaucrats. In terms of where election money comes from and how it is reported, you are supposed to determine the rules. You are supposed to keep Wisconsin elections in the hands of Wisconsin voters.

We ask that you defend the Constitution of the United States. We request that you restore your own legislative authority to determine when and where there may be undue influence and corruption. We demand that you protect the integrity of our elections as one of our duly elected leaders!

Do something about the non-stop attack ads!

First, thank you for choosing to serve the people of Wisconsin.

I live in your district. I vote in your district. I pay taxes, buy groceries, send my kids to school right here in your district. What I don’t do is spend millions of dollars on political ads for or against you in our district. I don’t intentionally pit my neighbors against each other in an attempt to receive preferential political positions. And what I’m tired of is seeing out of state, anonymous billionaires trying to buy my elections! I am not trying to say that you’ve been influenced by them but I am asking that you put a stop to the attempt. I agree with millions of other Wisconsin voters, the vast majority of us, in saying that Wisconsin elections should NOT be for sale!  There should be no opportunity for this to ever happen here. And you should take every step to ensure it does not.

My understanding is that now, even foreign governments have been caught spending in US Elections! I believe in our electoral system. I trust that the results are accurate. I am sure that you do a lot to protect them from corruption or even the appearance of corruption.  I am asking that you do more.

Please support the resolutions that would restore your power to prevent our elections from being influenced by the highest bidder. We believe in you.
