We Need Your Help: Protect SCORE's Funding

As someone who has experienced the broad and deep impact of SCORE, whether a small business owner, supporter and/or mentor, I strongly urge you to support a funding allocation of $17 million for Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) that will allow for the organization to continue its mission: to foster all business communities through mentoring and education. 

American business owners, in every U.S. state and territory, have been counting on SCORE for 61 years, whether just starting out, looking to scale their business, or operationalize their systems. With 99.9% of businesses being small, it is not hard to see how SCORE has supported more than 17 million entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.

SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business experts - 10,000 strong - who mentor and educate 300,000+ current and aspiring small business owners each year. For every $1 appropriated to SCORE in FY 2024, its successful mentees (small businesses) returned $45.42 in new federal tax revenue - an unparalleled return on federal investment. Additionally, in FY 24 alone, SCORE:
    • helped launch 59,447 new small businesses;
    • created 143,623 total new jobs; and
    • SCORE volunteers provide 4 million hours per year of critical mentoring and training.
The funding allocation allows business owners to get free and accessible mentoring and education, such as:
    • One-on-one mentoring from a professional business expert.
    • Monthly workshops and seminars.
    • Access to webinars, articles, templates, and tools.
Over 200 local chapters providing localized resources and support.
