Urge Congress to Support 'Workforce Pell'

Legislation like the Senate's JOBS Act would expand Pell Grants to high-quality, shorter-term education and training programs

With Your Help, We Can Get 'Workforce Pell' Over the Finish Line in 2025!

Jobs for the Future is calling on our field partners—employers, education and workforce development providers, civic and community leaders, and investors and entrepreneurs—to join us in encouraging Congress to enact policies that modernize and invest in our education and workforce development systems to ensure that U.S. workers and learners face "no dead ends" on the road to economic advancement.

Passing "Workforce Pell" legislation, like the Senate's bipartisan JOBS Act (S.383), is one of our top priorities. By extending the eligibility of the Pell Grant financial aid program to shorter-term education and training programs that align to industry needs and prepare people for good jobs that pay family-sustaining wages, more people would have affordable and accelerated pathways to economic advancement. In this statement, JFF CEO Maria Flynn outlines why we support Workforce Pell:

The prospects for enacting Workforce Pell have never been better. This is the time for all of us to lend our voices in favor of skills and economic opportunities. Please join us in urging Congress to pass Workforce Pell in 2025!
