Expand the Earned Income Tax Credit
Help honor 50 years of the Earned Income Tax Credit by asking Congress to strengthen it.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), now in its 50th year, is a vital tool in combating poverty and supporting workers across the country.
But for the past three decades, aside from a now-expired one-year expansion, EITC has provided little help for workers who earn low wages and who aren’t raising children. As a result, each year millions of workers aged 19 to 24, as well as those 65 and older, fall into — or deeper into — poverty.
By expanding the EITC, Congress would improve millions of Americans’ lives, spur job growth and boost the economy.
Will you ask your members of Congress to support an expansion of the EITC? It takes only a few seconds.
