Horsemen for common-sense testing; racing must end 'gotcha' chemistry

Horsemen and other racing enthusiasts: Rusty Arnold's recent open letter distributed by the National HBPA laid out very well the problems currently occurring under HISA/HIWU's testing policies. We need your help in causing meaningful change when it comes to adverse analytical findings (a positive test) caused by inadvertent transfers of substances at micro levels that have no impact on a horse's performance. We need your help to establish common sense.

We ask that you show your support by signing this petition if you stand for clean racing but believe HISA/HIWU must utilize qualified experts to establish no-effect thresholds which have no pharmacological impact on a horse.

This petition will let Sens. Mitch McConnell and Kristin Gillibrand and Reps. Andy Barr and Paul Tonko know that horse racing needs this change. The National HBPA will also forward responses to HISA, HIWU, and the Federal Trade Commission, who need to hear this message loud and clear.

Please share the link to this petition on your social media and encourage your family, friends, employees, and racing contacts to show their support by signing the petition as well. Here's a link to petition: https://bit.ly/4ccTAab
