Ask Governor Walz Leaders to Invest $75 million in Housing this Session!
By supporting the House Housing Committee budget and investing $75 million into affordable housing we can ensure that more Minnesotans have access to stable housing.
Right now, the Minnesota State Legislature is working to finalize its budget bills. With a small target of only $3 million in the Senate Housing Committee, we need to urge the Governor to support the House Housing Committee budget and invest $75 million in housing this session.
This investment includes $30 million for the Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program, $10 million for the Challenge Fund, and $100 million for Housing Infrastructure Bonds. New investments in these critical programs will help keep families in their homes and preserve and build new affordable housing units.
We ask that you call and email Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan and ask them to support the House budget and invest $75 million in housing.
