HB 93 needs to be voted out of committee and then voted on by the full Ohio Senate. It's time to put the pressure on ALL Ohio Senate members to vote Yes on this bill. It must pass before December 31st or we have to start the process over. Make sure your senator knows this is a PRIORITY to you!

OREIA has been working for years to get legislators to understand the issue when it comes to unpaid utility liens. In municipalities across the state, overdue water and sewer bills can be attached to a property while the resident who contracted for the service and failed to pay faces no judgement or loss of future service. These types of unpredicted costs lead to rent and deposit increases, hurting our affordability factor. Thanks to the diligent efforts of our members, our Legislative Director Dan Acton, and our lobbying firm GPG, we finally have a chance to change this practice!
