Encourage Congress to Pass and Fund the "Immersive Technology for the American Workforce Act of 2025"!

Today’s XRAction: Encourage Congress to Future Proof the American Workforce with XR
The “Immersive Technology for the American Workforce Act of 2025” (S.2855) will establish a $50 million per year competitive grant program at the Department of Labor to help community colleges and technical centers create workforce education and training programs using immersive technology (XR).
The XR Association worked closely with Senators Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE) and Katie Britt (R-AL) to develop and advance this legislation, which recognizes the critical role immersive technology can play in preparing Americans for careers in health care, advanced manufacturing, public safety, and other in-demand industries.
The bill provides dedicated funding through FY 2035 for programs that:
- Build or align career pathways using XR technology.
- Strengthen partnerships with employers that commit to hiring program graduates.
- Serve rural communities, veterans, displaced workers, and individuals with barriers to employment.
- Support instructor training and ensure programs are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
- Require evaluation and best-practice sharing to maximize results.
The Immersive Technology for the American Workforce Act complements the Stronger Workforce for America Act (H.R. 6655), which modernizes the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to expand skills development and strengthen employer connections. Together, these bills will modernize workforce training and put more Americans on the path to success.
Encourage your Member of Congress to support this important legislation and ensure it is fully funded!
