Support Minnesota Small Businesses

Tell your lawmakers to pass $100 million in emergency relief grants for Minnesota's small businesses

Act today to protect small businesses in your community - urge lawmakers to pass $100 million in emergency relief grants for small businesses

For reasons outside of their control, families, workers, customers, and small business owners across Minnesota have been living in fear, and have been forced to close their small businesses and reduce their operating hours for their safety and the safety of their workers.

While the federal government has announced a drawdown of the federal presence in Minnesota, small businesses continue to feel the impacts of forced closures and workforce shortages. Initial estimates in just 14 economic corridors in Minneapolis and St. Paul show a loss of $213 million in revenue since the beginning of December. We know the impacts are felt across the state, but we have less data and stories in greater Minnesota, so sharing your stories from outside the metro is essential. Additionally, many small businesses are reporting anywhere from 50%-90% in revenue losses and are on the brink of permanent closure.

Small businesses are essential to the vibrancy and economic wellbeing of Minnesota, employing millions of Minnesotans. We must act quickly to protect them during this unprecedented moment. That is why Minnesota Community Development Financial Institutions, philanthropic organizations, nonprofits, and local governments are asking lawmakers to pass legislation for $100 million in emergency relief grants for small businesses across the state.

As Minnesotans, we know how to show up for each other. Join us now and call on your elected officials to support $100 million in emergency small business grants.
