The Republican Senate Farm bill is an atrocity.
Earlier this year, we fought to get the pesticide-harm immunity poison pills stripped out of the House version of the 2026 Farm Bill. The House stripped some of the most dangerous poison-pill provisions a major victory. But that victory was quickly overshadowed in June when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Monsanto v. Durnell that weak and inadequate federal pesticide law preempts certain state-law failure to-warn claims, shielding Bayer-Monsanto and other pesticide manufacturers from lawsuits alleging they failed to warn users about serious health risks such as cancer.
Because of the overwhelming public opposition, the pesticide immunity provisions were left out of the Senate version. But now, at the eleventh hour, we learn sneaky Senate Republicans have added a slew of poison pills to the Senate version of the Farm Bill.
The Senate is scheduling the bill’s markup and a potential floor vote on Thursday, August 6.
The Republican Senate Farm Bill is so atrocious and harmful that the entire Farm Bill must be rejected.

The Republican Senate Farm Bill would:

<li>Promote chemical intensive agriculture</li>
<li>Attempt to degrade the USDA organic program and erode public trust in certified organic foods, by further weakening enforcement of organic standards</li>

Senate Republicans are attempting to hand Big Ag and Big Chemical their wishlist: Destroy small family farms, especially organic, and entrench toxic industrial GMO/chemical farming systems into the future. We must stop them from succeeding.

Tell Your Senators to Vote NO on the Toxic Farm Bill

The Republican Senate Farm Bill is so atrocious and harmful that the entire Farm Bill must be rejected.

The Republican Senate Farm Bill is a giveaway to Big Ag and Big Chemical. It would:

Exempt genetically engineered plants from safety reviews.

Exempt many toxic pesticides from human and environmental safety reviews.

Delay safety reviews for hundreds of pesticides until 2031.

Weaken efforts to protect children, farmworkers, and the public from toxic pesticides.

Weaken protections for endangered species.

Promote chemical intensive agriculture.

Attempt to degrade the USDA organic program and erode public trust in certified organic foods, by further weakening enforcement of organic standards

The Senate Farm Bill must be a clean bill that supports ALL farmers, especially the small family farms and regenerative organic farmers that grow with true regenerative practices and produce real food that will make America healthy again.

Vote NO on the current Farm Bill and go back to the drawing board.
