Help our Congressional Allies inform Trump on the state of Democracy in Pakistan 

I am reaching out as a constituent concerned about human rights and democracy in Pakistan.

Congressman Jack Bergman (MI) and Congressman Greg Stanton (AZ), have written a joint bipartisan letter which serves as a follow up to H.Res.901 which affirmed US support for Pakistani Democracy. The resolution received unanimous approval from the House Foreign Affairs Committee (50-0) and an overwhelming 368-7 vote on the House Floor.  

Their bipartisan letter draws President Trump ‘s attention to the urgency of human rights, violations and desecration of democracy and de facto martial law in Pakistan.

This letter asks President Trump to:

- To stop the persecution and ask for immediate release of political prisoners.
- To ask for credible and independent investigation of 2024 election.
- Impose targeted visa restrictions on some Pakistani officials.
- Stop the transnational repression of US citizens. 

Your signature on this letter will reflect your commitment to upholding democratic principles and human rights.  

This bipartisan letter and the overwhelming passage of H.Res.901 in Summer 2024 is a testament to the values that we can find in supporting a burgeoning Democracy like Pakistan’s.
